On a sunny Saturday (25 August 2012), bringing with souvenirs and caring hearts, Department of Health Volunteer Team and So Uk Estate Community Service Team visited singleton elderly and senior couple families living in Un Chau Estate.
Every face was lighted up by brilliant smile.
Volunteers from Department of Health learnt folding handkerchiefs to little handicrafts on site and to share the skills with the senior participants afterwards.
Volunteers and participants were assigned with specific secret codes for pairing up. They were able to find their teammates in the blink of an eye!
Making handicrafts with hand towels?
“Granny, fold the hand towel like this.”
